Our service has been reading Genesis straight for nearly three years...seriously...it's been a slow deep process involving only a handful of scripture at a time.

Submission has always been a word men have used to get their needs met. Even Christian men. I have had a difficult month or so. I have not been submissive to my Lord. In African nations the women there are actually encouraged to call their husbands LORD. There is so much missing from their relationships, that submission is not even an option. It is hard to be submissive when you feel like you are better than the other one in your life. If anything, I feel submission should be second nature. The keyword is feel. We are all different and we all see things through different lenses. What one person considers submissive, the other looks at as honoring. I myself have not been submissive to my Lord or My Wife as of late. If you think you can be submissive to God, and then turnaround and not honor your wife...you are missing it. The same heart that has no problem mistreating, is the same heart you are trying to tell GOD you love him with. He is looking at you(ME) and saying..Be consistent in your life, and you will find the Burden lite.
Men and Women of God, Solomon tells us that he has seen both sides of life, that life while submissive to God, and the life walking away from his Word. I cannot speak for any of you, but I speak for me when I say I will honor the Lord, and I will yield my heart to my wife and cherish her with the fruit of my lips, that is , words from my mouth and thoughts from my heart. I submit my life to the Lord almighty, that he would see fit to cleanse me and prepare me for my bride...God Bless you all...

Yeah! Glad to see you blogging. After much searching we've finally found a church we can call our own.

We chose this church because it felt like family. They're a group of people who worship, believe and look like us. We have a similar desire and passion to serve God and the community, plus they're all about growth and forgiveness instead of condemnation.

I just feel I belong and that's what it's all about for me!
